This is the same pack of imbeciles that appointed Peter Ryan (darling of the left) to Police Commisioner and turned the Police force into a Police "service" and emasculated them in the process.
That trend appears to be reversed to some degree but now we have elements in the community that have grown up with no real deterent to their criminal thought patterns....god forbid anyone suggest we have a middle eastern crime problem in sydney however the indiscriminate use of knives seems to have escalated here and the best the govt can do is window dressing.
We do have the right to learn to defend ourselves and thats certainly what Im going to do.
"The best way to avoid a knife attack is to stay away from one"....brilliant!!!!!!
All that money Ive wasted on knife classes with ray when all I really need to do is to ring up potential stabbers (mostly with the help of an interpreter) and ask them where they intend to carry out their knifings that night and I will be sweet.
How innovative.....why did we not think of this before?

The 'Combat School' shown in the clip is Andy Elliot's AMOK/Kombaton (sp?) in Melbourne, which surprised me because I thought AMOK had moved away from the Knife v Knife training in line with Australian legislation, focusing more on unarmed knife defence. Maybe Steve McKewon will join in the discussion at some stage and clarify.

But, like Paul, I thought the reporter's comment about 'staying away' from a knife threat to be naive and simplistic, merely said to heighten the sensationalism of the piece.

Good on Ray for presenting a professional front to what he's doing.

They definitely interview Andy Elliott, and he's definitely in Melbourne. Maybe there was another 'Combat School' in Brisbane.

I haven't been able to locate a clip of the news piece, Channel 7 dont' appear to archive their w/e news like they do their weekday news ... unless someone else has found something?

I thought Andy's interview was part of rays piece not part of the "undercover" knife fighting piece.

it was aired on wed 10th Feb up hear Dean not the weekend, but I'll believe you guys after all like I said I only saw the head line for it.
