G'day All

Yeah, Yeah I now, I borrowed (ok stole) this idea from another forum but I thought it was a good Idea and I'm sure they won't mind.

Ok I'm Drew, hence drgndrew.

I'm 31 and have been studying the Martial Arts for about 18 or 19 years. I have a Teaching grade in Muay Thai and have been given permission to use the title Sempai when teaching general Martial Arts and Self Defence, though i haven't taught as such in over 8 yrs.
I've studied/experienced/researched a variety of Martial Arts, too many to list here.
The more I learn, the more i realise just how much more there is to learn.

I live in Toowoomba Qld with my lovely Wife. I'm currently unemployed but trying to rectify that. Ok, that's me so, Who are you.???

I forgot to add that I also spent 6 years in the security industry working doors, concerts, festivals, events etc aswell as some VIP protection stuff, patrols and armed guarding.

With Honour in Bushido,
Drew

Nothing to add here, just got sick the **** of seeing Geordieboy's name on top all the threads for the past month.

I'm working my way to try and remove Sweeney's name off the JWP thread too.

Hi all,

My name is Matt.

My main focus is Kyokushin Karate and I cross-train in bjj, muay thai and boxing. I also have limited experience in mma, judo, yoshinkan aikido, wing chun and closed quarter combat. I hope to achieve black-belt in Kyokushin in the not too distant future and then look towards weapons training and rbsd seminars to further my knowledge and understanding of the fundementals of combat.

I got into martial arts to develop long-term strength and fitness. I wanted to be strong mentally as well as physically and even though I still have along way to go, I feel martial arts training is the right vehicle to achieve this.

It is my belief that the most important factor to martial arts training is to find an instructor that instils a sense of dedication towards the long-term pursuit of excellence regardless of the style being taught.

Cheers.

Hey all, my name is Dan, I'm mid 30's, just started training MA again. I train at a couple of different places due to shift work, one that is MMA based & one that is pure BJJ. I've no intention of competing etc but i love to learn this stuff and the grappling is a whole new world to me after only a brief teenaged Hapkido experience (2 years or so). I'm looking forward to saying hello to you all!

Hi people,
My name is Karl and Killer Karl was my fight name in my short lived MT/KB career. Back in 1994 in my second fight I broke my shin and up to that point i was un-defeated hehe.
I have trained in the Martial Arts from age 11 and I'm 38 now.
I have trained in Judo (Green Belt), ZenDoKai Karate (Yondan-ho), Muay Thai/Kickboxing/Boxing (Trainer under John Scida's system-been with him for close on 20 years),Jujistu (White belt under John Beckman/Howard Quick), BJJ (White Belt under Tony Russo), Wingchun (just dabbled) and MMA is currently a passion of mine but I just train with who ever turns up.
Regards Karl

Howdy, my name's Ray, and I dwell in Adelaide, SA. I train with Matt Jones at ISO...and if I'm not very much mistaken, that's Madigan lurking over there :P
