Hundreds of martial artists will raise money for the Cancer Council by taking part in Fight for Life 2012 seminars in several states in October and November. The events will feature workshops in various martial arts styles taught by multiple masters.

Adelaide organiser Kym Reid of the International Budo Federation said he hopes his seminar will be the biggest in SA history. “I’m sure of 100 attending, I’m hopeful of 200 but I know with a little help from my friends it can be 300,” he said.
The cost for the SA event will be just $40 for the day’s training, with concessions for families.

Fight For Life began in 2010, when Melbourne jujitsu sensei Renshi Kevin Walsh ran a two-day seminar with 45 Australian and international instructors teaching more than 250 participants, raising more than $13,000. This year, seminars will be held in Brisbane on 7 October, Adelaide on 28 October, Perth on

4 November and in Melbourne over two days on 10–11 November.
